Two global financial institutions wanted, after setting up a joint venture in several countries in Europe, to ensure an uniform approach in many areas within this new organisation. One of these areas was leadership.
In consultation with the board of directors a programme was created consisting of three training days in which, in addition to teaching the necessary knowledge and skills, all the specific wishes and demands of the board was included. More than 100 people successfully completed the programme in a short period of time.
The result of this training is that all leaders in the organisation poses the same knowledge and skills, despite some differences in management experience. This has directly led to a sense of belonging, the ability to use each other as a sounding board in challenging situations and a huge saving of time and energy, since all leaders know how to lead successfully and effective. They are focused on day to day business as well as the future. Under all conditions they remain in control and will never be unpleasantly surprised. Additionally, staff have indicated they really appreciate the leadership style, their direct involvement and possibilities to develop themselves.
